Founders, Leaders & Teams

Help your people grow with the business.

You have built something with people whose contributions matter to you. As the business evolves, you want to understand what each person brings, where they could grow, and how to support them.

You may be considering new responsibilities, wondering how to develop someone beyond their current role, or finding that expectations you thought were clear are understood differently across the team.

The Clarity Studio helps founders and leaders understand the people behind the roles—and use that understanding to have more useful conversations about contribution, development, and the culture they are creating.

Understanding that makes a difference

Knowing what someone does gives you one view of them. Understanding what motivates them, how they think, what comes naturally, and what they want to develop gives you a fuller picture.

Through selected assessments and individual conversations, we explore those perspectives together. Employees gain language for their strengths and priorities. Leaders gain insight into the conditions, opportunities, and support that could help each person contribute and grow.

The work also creates room to examine your own leadership: how your values and working preferences shape your expectations, what you want people to take ownership of, and how clearly you have communicated that.

A culture people can understand and experience

Culture takes shape through everyday decisions: how responsibilities are explained, how questions are received, how contributions are recognized, and how growth is discussed.

Understanding yourself and your team gives you a more specific starting point for those decisions. You can explain what matters to the business while making room for different strengths, motivations, and approaches to the work.

The aim is a shared language people can use in practice—when discussing expectations, asking for support, considering an opportunity, or deciding what to develop next.

How we work together

Establish the purpose.

We begin with what you want the engagement to accomplish. Together, we agree on the participants, assessments, deliverables, timing, and how findings will be shared. We can begin with you, a leadership group, or a wider team.

Understand each person.

Selected assessments and individual conversations explore values, natural strengths, working approaches, and aspirations. I connect the findings with each person’s experiences, giving them room to recognize, question, and add context to their results.

Bring the insights into practice.

Participants review their individual synthesis before relevant insights enter the team view. We explore shared strengths and meaningful differences, then use that understanding to prepare conversations about responsibilities, development, communication, and support.

The work is grounded in the Becoming You methodology, developed by Dr. Suzy Welch, and shaped around the purpose of your engagement.

What you receive

Individual Clarity Snapshots

A personalized synthesis for each participant, drawing on selected assessments and personal conversation. Each Snapshot connects motivations, strengths, working preferences, and possibilities for growth, giving the person language to understand and explain their contribution.

Individual Growth Plans

Working documents that identify meaningful development priorities, practical next steps, and support to discuss. The employee and manager review and refine the plan together, considering both the person’s aspirations and the needs of the business.

Team At-a-Glance

A consolidated view of reviewed insights that helps you recognize shared strengths, different approaches, and useful questions for the team. It provides a reference for conversations about collaboration, expectations, support, and development.

Some founders and leaders choose the full individual process and a Clarity book for themselves, alongside the more focused Snapshot process for their team. The book draws on the full range of assessments and reflection; a Snapshot offers a concise synthesis of selected assessments. We choose the depth that serves the engagement.

What this looked like for Carmen

For Carmen, founder of a young, fast-growing company that provides highly customized services for some of the largest companies in the world, understanding her own values helped her explain the autonomy and ownership she wanted people to have, together with expectations for accountability.

She also came to appreciate different ways of thinking within her team—including the value of careful questions alongside her own rapid generation of ideas. Those insights gave her a more useful foundation for communication and individual development.

Carmen then chose to extend the work to more employees, giving them the opportunity to understand themselves and be understood.

“What I know for certain is that The Clarity Studio and Becoming You made me a better leader.”

Timing and investment

Team engagements are tailored and priced separately. The scope reflects the number of participants, the depth of individual work, the deliverables, and the conversations needed to put the findings to use.

Following our initial conversation, I propose a scope, schedule, and investment for your review.

Everything starts with a conversation.
