I’m Denese Russell, founder of The Clarity Studio and a Becoming You Certified Practitioner.

My background spans corporate communications and education. Nearly twenty years in communications taught me to understand an audience, find the central idea within complexity, and give it clear expression. I later returned to school for a master’s in education and became a high-school English teacher, helping students understand themselves through story and find their voices through writing.

Across both fields, I’ve been drawn to the same work: asking thoughtful questions, connecting ideas, and finding language that makes something clearer. My natural strengths lie in investigation and synthesis. I enjoy looking beyond the first explanation and noticing how seemingly separate experiences fit together.

Beauty, meaning, and the freedom to shape my own life matter deeply to me. They influence the work I choose and the care I bring to it. They also ground my respect for each person’s right to find their own direction.
